It’s safe to say that Spring has certainly sprung here in Waroona! The days grow longer and the scent of freshly cut grass is becoming just about as common as the smell of coffee at 7am! Baby lambs are dropping everywhere you look and new flowers are in full bloom. And best of all… Budburst has officially set in and new life is emerging in vineyards across the region! By far our favourite sight this time of the year.

2019 Sweet Little Birdie

Our 2019 Sweet Little Birdie is exactly as the name alludes; it’s delicious and oh-so

enchanting, with lingering sweetness. Just like the little birdies being born this time of the year, this lighter and slightly sweet in style Merlot will put a little smile on your face at first sip.

Our Sweet Little Birdie highlights delicious summer fruit flavours on the nose and palate. Balanced and fresh, this medium bodied wine has the perfect amount of mouth-fill and finishes with pleasantly soft tannins. It’s a light and bright Merlot, the perfect wine to crack on these warmer Spring evenings!

And so, as the days get longer and outdoor dining becomes more frequent, we’ve hand selected our favourite and stress-free food pairings to match with our Merlot for the full flavour experience!

Enjoy our 2019 Sweet Little Birdie with asimple chicken and tomato pasta dish. Not only does it take less than half an hour to prepare, it’s the perfect match for our Sweet Little Birdie and is a darn delicious combo if we do say so ourselves! Enjoy!

2019 Merlot

Our 2019 Merlot is the perfect mix of fruity and fresh, delivering above and beyond what you would expect from this great variety!

This new addition has aromas of jams and plum with hints of ripe cherries shining through. It’s medium-bodied palate is soft and elegant with beautiful cherry and raspberry fruits. And to complete these flavour sensation; it continues on to finish with very mild tannins and lingering fruit flavours. A delicious wine from start to finish, this is a wine ready to drink now and will continue to age gracefully over the next few years.

This beauty has fast become our favourite Friday evening drop, so a delicious meal to pair with it is the perfect way to cheers to the weekend! And our personal favourite is definitelyapple maple pork chops; we guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
